GILDA BELMONTE PRIEBE

GILDA BELMONTE PRIEBE , CPA, CIA, CFE, CGMA has over 25 years of financial audit, single audit, and compliance examination experience. Prior to joining Adelfia LLC, she worked for a local accounting firm based in Chicago since November 2001 and became a partner in January 2007. Prior to that, she had six years of combined audit experience as an assistant manager at a Big Four firm in Singapore and as a senior auditor at an accounting firm in the Philippines (member practice a Big Four accounting firm).

Gilda graduated magna cum laude from Aquinas University of Legazpi in the Philippines (now University of Santo Tomas – Legazpi) with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. She is a Certified Public Accountant both in USA (Illinois and California) and the Philippines, a Certified Internal Auditor, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and a Certified Global Management Accountant.

Gilda is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Internal Auditors, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and Illinois CPA Society. She is a peer reviewer under the AICPA Peer Review Program and currently a member of the Peer Review Alliance Report Acceptance Committee. She also serves as the current Secretary of the National Executive Board of the International Society of Filipinos in Finance and Accounting.

She has extensive knowledge of State and local government agencies, universities, non-profit organizations, and Medicaid Integrity programs having audit engagements performed on these entities. She also performed agreed-upon procedures, peer reviews, and other operational audits.
